The Prestige (2006)
The credit sequence in the film The Prestige was done very well. The credit sequence itself develops a feeling of curiosity for the audience and makes them want to know what's going to happen. This was done by the film introducing the creators and actors, while setting the mood for the movie. The quiet background music and dark lighting helps to create the mood by letting the audience see that there is a mysterious and serious vibe. The lighting and images add to the film by making it feel suspenseful and more intense.
Searching (2018)
The credit sequence in the film Searching, is another good example of a psychological thriller. To help tell the story, the movie introduces the actors and creators. The sequence consists of emails and computer screens to portray the life of John Cho, who is the main actor, and his relationship with his daughter. This makes the film feel more realistic. The quiet tone and calm, simple music, help add to the more serious mood. This credit sequence starts off the mysterious feeling that something is going to happen later on in the film.
The Weekend Away (2022)
The credit sequence in the film The Weekend Away was very effective. The tone and setting is developed early through the credit sequence when introducing names of the cast. The opening focuses on shots in a vacation location which makes everything seem very peaceful. Shortly after, the music and lighting create a feeling of tension. This makes the audience aware that something is going to happen.
