                                                     One Word Film Project

For our project we had to create a soundless film based on a word we were given. We first had to create a "One Word Film" brainstorming sheet, to develop a shot list and to consider possible editing techniques. We then had to create a storyboard with a minimum of 15 slides to illustrate our pre-planning of the editing of our shots. After we finished both sheets we filmed our project. Finally we had to edit our footage to strive to communicate a story about our assigned word.

While brainstorming, me and my partner came up with an idea to do our film on a story about a mean girl and a nerd. We felt like this would be a good fit for cruel. This is an image of our brainstorming sheet:

Our storyboard helped us pre-visualize our project by having everything that we planned to film layed out  in front of us. When we were creating our storyboard, we included the shots we would use, we created images on how they would look, and a short description of what would be happening in each clip. It helped us a lot when filming because when we would go to film a clip, we had our storyboard to look at to show us all the details on how exactly the clip was supposed to look.

I think me and my partners idea for the film was really good and fit our word well. Our brainstorming sheet and story board did a good job on portraying our idea and our ideas were thoroughly thought through. But I think we could've done a better job on how we filmed our clips. I think the idea had more potential than what we gave it.
